Two pH-sensitive stable nitroxide radicals are characterized by EPR spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry in aqueous solution at different pH values. The rates of the photochemically-induced electron transfer reactions from the protonated and deprotonated forms of the radicals to a ruthenium complex are determined. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
