The article discusses a study which examined the lithospheric structure in the South China (SC) block from receiver function and its implications for the source of mineral system. Topics covered include the tectonic mechanism for the Mesozoic large-scale magmatism and mineralization in SC, the results of Common Conversion Point (CCP) stacking and results which suggest that the different deposit combinations in the different metallogenic belts may be associated with different tectonic processes.
