This document is a compilation of research articles that discuss various aspects of COVID-19, including its neurological effects. COVID-19 has been found to cause neurological disorders and neurodegeneration, in addition to respiratory and cardiovascular problems. The death-associated protein kinase 1 (DAPK1) signaling pathway is believed to play a role in nerve cell death and neurodegeneration, and the drug trimetazidine (TMZ) has shown neuroprotective effects in other diseases. The authors propose that TMZ may have protective effects against COVID-19-induced neurological disorders by inhibiting the DAPK1-related cell death pathway. However, further research is needed to evaluate the potential neuroprotective effects of TMZ in COVID-19. [Extracted from the article]
