Solar collector plays a critical at this point because their integration into current systems will decrease reliance on finite conventional energy sources. On the other hand, renewable energy sources are limitless and will remain in perpetuity as long as there is life on the planet earth. This article will discuss the different methods and advancements that have been made to enable flat plate collectors to absorb as much solar energy as possible while minimizing losses to the environment with the applications of nanotechnology. The usage of nanofluid has been shown to improve the performance of solar collectors. Finally, suggestions were made. This article provides an in-depth review of recent developments in the use of nanotechnology in different types of solar collectors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
