The article examines whether BMP-7 collagen on a composite carrier in a higher dose will enhance postero-lateral spinal fusion in an estrogen deficiency rat model. Results show that ovariectomized rats receiving BMP-7 showed significantly higher fusion rates than those control animals. Discussions on the results, study design, methods and conclusion are provided.
