Presents information on a study that examined the fully developed, viscous liquid-metal velocity profiles and induced magnetic field contours for Hartmann numbers and for different load currents for a particular rectangular channel configuration. Assumption of the rectangular channel to have a homogeneous external magnetic field parallel to the moving, perfectly conducting top wall; Description of the small gap between the moving wall and each side wall; Opposition of the load currents.
