The article examines the use of exercise stress testing as a predictor of progression of early chronic Chagas heart disease by researchers from Buenos Aires, Argentina. The early detection of those patients who are at risk of progressing to more severe disease is necessary to develop appropriate treatment management and prevent further cardiac damage.
