The article discusses a study which examines pulsed arterial spin labeling (pASL) in the detection of mesial temporal lobe (mTL) perfusion asymmetry for the lateralization of the epileptogenic focus in patients with refractory temporal lobe epilepsy. It also discusses the use of dynamic susceptibility contrast enhanced magnetic resonance imaging technique. Information about measuring local relative cerebral blood flow and the inflow of electromagnetically labeled arterial blood is provided.
