The article presents a study to estimate prevalence of self-reported medication errors among health professionals and examine their knowledge of medication errors in order to identify appropriate measures to promote medication safety. The study concludes that prevalence of medication errors is high among health care professionals in Nigeria due to knowledge gaps and practice deficiencies.
