The article discusses an action research which investigates the application of psychological principles on the effect of political violence and war on survivors and victims in Latin America. The study applied the Participatory Action Research (PAR) methodology, conducted in-depth interviews, distributed questionnaires, and created focus groups. The authors suggest the use of a broad psychosocial perspective for the impact of political violence on survivors in Latin America.
