The article presents answers of U.S. presidential candidates George W. Bush and John Kerry to readers' questions related to environmental protection. Bush said that he has sought more funding for energy efficiency and renewable energy programs than has been provided in any year during the last two decades. More than half of the 106 recommendations in the U.S. Administration's National Energy Policy report concern energy efficiency and renewable energy. About global warming Kerry said that its a global problem that needs a global solution and that means people need to find a way for developing nations to participate in an effective international treaty.
