The content of flavonoids and phenolic acids were determined in the extracts of roots and leaves of I Iris orientalis i using HPLC-MS/MS for the first time. The leaf-water extract showed very high activity (70-91%) at all concentrations, while the leaf-methanol extract showed 40-90% activity. The main phenolic acid was found to be ascorbic acid, which was present at the level of 7.3185 mg/g in root-water extract and 6.3959 mg/g in leaf-water extract, and salicylic acid at the level of 1.8454 mg/g. Table 1. The activities of root-water and root-DCM extracts are due to ascorbic acid, a good antioxidant. [Extracted from the article]
