The article presents a study that examined the load sustained by the wrist, elbow and shoulder upper limb joints during obstacle climbing. The study involved able-bodied persons who were tested in the same wheelchair and were equipped with 34 reflective markers on the upper limbs. Results have shown that the shoulder has the highest peak moments, followed by the elbow and the wrist.
