The article reports on a study which described the design of community-based sexually transmitted infections (STI)/HIV and infertility in northern Tanzania. The study was conducted in households using 2-stage sampling design. Over 70% of interviewed women and men were provided blood and urine samples. The result of the study showed that individuals who have been provided blood and urine samples have high risk profiles for STI/HIV compared to those who have not been provided such samples.
