Like LeMaster and Terminel Iberri, Ruiz-Mesa also proposes a paradigm shift in communication education. Even though we might have mostly fulfilling classroom experiences that are supportive, creative, social justice-oriented, and inspirational, as teachers who are consistently othered, we also know that the classroom space can be a battleground. In sync with LeMaster and Terminel Iberri as well as with Ruiz-Mesa, Mhonde and Hingle address the positionality of the faculty members who are putting their bodies on the line, arguing that the intersectional feminist approach we must take should be transnational.
