O-AMAS is an effective teaching model, which includes five links: teaching objective, activation, multi-learning, assessment and summary. This paper examines the issues critical to understanding and implementing O-AMAS teaching model in the course of Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics. Four classes served as a control group to implement traditional teaching mode in 2022. Three classes served as an intervention group to implement O-AMAS teaching model in 2023. By comparison, the average score of final exam and the number of excellent students have increased, indicating that O-AMAS teaching model can improve the learning effect and student participation.
