520 b영문초록 : In this paper, it is shown that this codec is curtailed hardware is satisfied to the performance in designing and fabricating 139, 264Mbps video codec. Video signals are quantized to 9 bit and sampling frequency of this codec is about 15,474MHZ. So the codec is not necessary read/write buffer memory, stuffing circuit and destuffing circuit because of agreeing with the total bit rate. Used video data is reconstructed to substitute the former 4 picture elements for the 44th data. The performance of this codec in linking to the optical transmitter and receiver was measured by the NTSC specification. The measured SNR, DP and DG are about 67 dB[weighted], under 2^(0), 2% respectively. It is shown that SNR estimated from the theoretical analysis agrees with the experimental results. So the experimental results are satisfied to NTSC specification.
