영문초록 : The object of this study is made investigation into a dominent cause and specialty of traditional settlement concluded by dispositional pattern and direction of a commer's house. The method of investigation is analysis of direction in An-chae, Sa -rang-chae, Dae-moon. The process of study is made investigation into the geomantic peculiarity of model village and cultural characteristic and than an analysis of the direction in each house with a preexamined drawing of village the conclusion of this study is as follows. 1. In model village, the general direction of commer's house is intended to natural features adapted to the geomancy of situation and the origanic system in arrangement. 2. In comparison with direction of the house in Yang-dong village, the equal distribution of the whole classes in directional arrangement is presumed to be influenced on the geographical features. In difference of directional distribution between the upper classes and others of nam-sa village, the upper classes considered the geomantic factor but on the other hand the lower classes thought over the condition on configuration of the ground. 3. in comparison with Sa-fang-chae and An-chae of middle and upper classes houses, the view of Sa-rang-chae is finer than that of An-chae 4. The relation with aixs of the house between An-chae and Dae-moon is indicated that in Ynab-dong village, most of the building arrangement is molded by a straight aixs but on the other hand in Nam-sa village, that is founded in only some main family house. 5. The relation of An-chae and Dae-moon is based on Yang-tack-lon, particularv this fact is presumed that dominent principle, An-chae is situated in situated in Yang and Dae-moon is done in yin, is influenced on the upper classes house in Yang-dong village. 6. The difference of the molding process and special quality of sattlement is caused of the difference in analysis affected by direction of Yang-dong and Nam-sa village.
