| 520 | ▼b영문초록 : Modern Men have become familiar with sports activities in their daily lives owing to the expansion of leisure. To provide them with enough sports facilities for their active and sound sports activities is perhaps the primary task in promoting social sports. Looking at the present conditions of social sports facilities in our country, the researcher can take the following problems. First, among 22,028 national sports facilities are 14,643 owned by schools, 689 public organizations, 2,223 companies, and 4,473 private sectors. The surface area of a sports facility per one man is 3.74㎡, very insufficient compared with other advanced countried. Second, those facilities tended to be concentrated in the central area Seoul with 2,828 places in contrast with Kwangju(382) and Chuju(346). Third, most facilities were about school playground(10,595), tennis(4,768), and ping-pong(1,134) Last, there appeared a lake of personal, sports leader and specialists. Then, the following suggestions for the improvement of the established facilities can be made. As to the utilization of the present facilities, a certain committee for the effective use of school playgrounds may be made, While lighting equipment can be erected for the use of intrested residents. Also, social sports leaders car play a great role to develop and porovide various programs at public sports-mhalls, while the government authorities may well give tax benefit to the sports facilities run by private sectors or companies. As to the enlargement of social sports facilities, all-purpose facilities in the sufficient area should be evenly made according to each administrative unit. While the investment of private sectors to secure model facilities is recommended, some support in tax and funds should be made for long-term planning. As far as the relationship between social and schools' sports facilities is concerned, nearby residents should be given the opportunity to use schools' facilities on Sundays of in the evenings. In addition, a sports or leports (leisure-sports) complex for divergent athletic activities may be established around key school units. | |
