Intra-uterine insemination (IUI) is a cheaper, less intensive treatment modality for achieving a pregnancy in couples with specific indications. The use of IUI seems to have declined after NICE guideline 2013 (CG 156) recommended IVF over IUI in couples with unexplained and mild male factor infertility.
