It is a corpus-based study and all the data are from Yonsei English Learner Corpus (YELC), Chinese Learner English Corpus(CLEC), and Louvain Corpus of Native English Essays(LOCNESS). The result presents that both English native speakers(NSs) and Korean and Chinese students are largely influenced by the L/S/C and "scope" factors. In addition, the factor of adverb "syllable" moderately affects both Korean and Chinese L1 learners" English adverb placement.
