(Abstracted from Fertil Steril 2019;111(4):734–746.e2)Despite significant improvements in assisted reproductive technology (ART), clinical pregnancy rates (CPRs) and live-birth rates (LBRs) following in vitro fertilization and embryonic transfer (ET) remain between 30% and 40% and between 20% and 30% per ET, respectively. Endometrial scratch injury (ESI) is a technique that involves the use of common biopsy devices to damage the endometrium in order to increase its receptiveness to embryonic implantation in women undergoing ART.
