This study analyzed what learning activities tutors and learners are performing in online Japanese tutoring programs, and analyzed the interactions between tutors and learners to see how Japanese expressions are being learned. First, as a result of examining the activities by learning level, the beginner level performed practical practice and conversation practice centered on sentence patterns, and learned vocabulary and expressions for each scene outside of the textbook. And the intermediate level was seen talking about their opinions on various social and cultural topics. Lastly, the advanced level was being helped in the process of preparing for employment in Japan. Next, as a result of analyzing the interaction, when an expression that the learner did not know or could not remember came out, the tutors encouraged the learner to speak as much as possible and presented background knowledge related to the vocabulary.
