This paper analyzed the structure and status of trade between Korea and Indonesia in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Indonesia. In particular, this paper uses the international industry linkage table(I-O table) to analyze the economic ripple effect from trade between Korea and Indonesia as a research methodology. First, As a result of analyzing the trade dependence structure in two countries, a production-inducing effect from trade between Indonesia and Korea on Indonesia's manufacturing was shown at the other manufacturing (1.7%), leather (1.7%), and food and beverage (1.6%) sectors. Meanwhile, Korea's exports show that there is an economic ripple effect on Indonesian industries in electronics (2.8%), machinery (1.6%), steel (2.3), and chemical products (2.1%). Second, as a result of analyzing the backward linkage effect on the other countries in both regions, it was found that Indonesia's backward linkage effect on Korea was relatively large in the food, beverage, and textile sectors. On the other hand, the backward linkage effect of Korea to Indonesia was shown as food and beverage industry, textile industry, leather, lumber, chemical products, rubber and plastics, electronics, transportation, and manufacturing. Accordingly, Indonesia needs a new export diversification strategy toward Korea, and the Korean government and companies need response strategies accordingly.
