The purpose of this study is to compare the patterns of use of adverbs of degree by Chinese learners of the Korean language and native Korean speakers and, to reveal the differences. The results of this study are provided as basic data for Korean language education to help Chinese learners learn adverbs of degree. For this purpose, the National Institute of the Korean Language morphological analysis corpus(version 1.0) and the National Institute of the Korean Language Korean language learner's corpus were used. We limited the study to only spoken corpus because we believed that spoken corpus, which changes rapidly compared to written corpus, which has a conservative nature, would better represent the use of modern Korean language. The results of comparing and analyzing the usage patterns of the 21 adverbs of degree that were the subject of analysis can be summarized as follows. First, in terms of frequency of use, Korean native speakers used adverbs of degree more than Chinese learners, but the difference was not significant. Meanwhile, as the proficiency level of Chinese Korean learners increased, the frequency of use of adverbs of degree increased. Second, the frequency of use of the adverbs of degree '너무' and '아주' were ranked 1st and 2nd in both groups, and the ratio of the frequency of use of '너무' to the total frequency of use of adverbs of degree was higher for Chinese Korean learners than for native Korean speakers. was higher. On the other hand, the rankings of frequency of use of ‘참’ between the two groups were significantly different. Third, we summarized adverbs of degree that are not often used by native Korean speakers and Chinese learners, and found that it was necessary to reorganize the list of adverbs of degree for learning by considering the use of adverbs of degree in modern spoken language. This study is significant in that it analyzed the differences in the use of degree adverbs between native Korean speakers and Chinese learners of Korean through actual spoken language data. However, the cause of the difference was not described in detail in this study, and it is necessary to examine it in detail through qualitative research through follow-up study.
