As concerns about the climate crisis increase, the state’s environmental policy intervention is required, while there are also concerns that such state intervention could lead to a reduction in existing welfare. This study aims to examine the distribution of welfare-environmental attitudinal groups that dichotomise welfare attitudes and environmental attitudes and identify the determinants. The data used the 15th data (2021) of the Korean General Social Survey. Expenditure attitude questions on welfare and the environment were used to measure welfare attitudes and environmental attitudes, and the sample was 1,035 people who responded. By dichotomise welfare attitudes and environmental attitudes, the distribution of welfare-environmental attitudinal groups was categorized into four groups. In addition, a multinomial logistic regression analysis was used to identify the determinants influencing the welfare-environmental attitude division. As a result of the analysis, four types of welfare-environmental attitudes were identified: mutual support group(42.9%), welfare support group(13.4%), environmental support group(21.8%), and non support group(21.8%). As a result of multinomial logistic regression analysis, it was found that the division of welfare-environmental attitudinal groups was influenced by gender, educational level, political orientation, trust in social institutions, and subjective class identification.
