This study aims to view the works of fusion performance artists from multiple perspectives by mastering the characteristics of contemporary dance creation from the perspective of surrealist expression techniques, and to provide an opportunity to broadly understand the technical phenomena inherent in the works. To this end, the discussion of Surrealist techniques was examined, and the works of William Forsythe and Peeping Tom were analyzed focusing on Montage, Automatism, and Depaysement techniques in Surrealist expression techniques. From the perspective of work creation and expression techniques, the characteristics of contemporary dance choreography are as follows. First, accept the unconscious creation principles of multiple art forms, and make use of surreal expressions such as the intersection of reality and reality in space, improvised disintegration movements, and the symbolic use of props. Secondly, the principle of unconscious creation is combined with dance, art, film techniques, etc. to propose new countermeasures in the field of dance. In this way, the integration of dance art, performance techniques and aesthetics is of great significance to the expansion of artistic expression.
