The purpose of this study is to verify the mediating and moderating effects of value perception on the relationship between stereotypes and popularization of Korean traditional dance. The subjects of the study were 455 adult men and women nationwide, and samples were taken non-face-to-face using Google surveys. For the sample data, the WINSTEPS 3.65 program was used to apply Cronbach’α and internal and external fit indices. The MANOVA, ANOVA, Sobel, and SPSS 21.0 programs were used to analyze the relevant variables and their mediating effects, and the conclusions are as follows. First, in the three variables of Korean traditional dance, the difference between men and women was small, and in the ANOVA verification, there was a difference between men and women in stereotypes and value perception, except for popularization. Age-specific differences show differences in value perception and popularization, except for the stereotype of ANOVA verification. In stepwise ANOVA validation results, there is only a difference in value recognition. Second, stereotypes of Korean traditional dance and perceptions of the value of popularization were found to have a mediating effect. Third, stereotypes of Korean traditional dance and perceptions of the value of popularization were found to have no moderating effect. The study’s conclusions show that women respond more positively to traditional Korean dance than men, and those in their 50s and older respond more positively to value perception and popularization than those in their 50s and younger. The mediating effect of value perception on stereotypes and popularization is that the more positive the stereotype is, the higher the level of value perception, and the higher the level of value perception, the higher the expectation for popularization.
