This paper examines the relationship between modern “Manchuria” and Northeast Asia by analyzing “Manchuria” trade. The subject of the analysis is the trade of Yingkou, Dalian, Andong and Harbin, which were major trade ports from 1907 to 1931. Modern “Manchuria” trade was linked to changes in international relations. Japan, which began to expand its power in the wake of the Russo-Japanese War, has recruited “Manchuria” as its raw material supply and commodity market through trade of Dalian and Andong. At the same time, Japan kept Chinese and Russian forces in check by blocking the trade growth of Yingkou and Harbin. “Manchuria” trade was the economic base of which the Japanese imperialist powers expand. For a comprehensive review of “Manchuria” trade, it is necessary to study the trade situation of trade ports not covered in this paper, trade trends before and after the establishment of the customs, and informal trade without the customs.
