As the COVID-19 pandemic confirmed the culture ofnon-face-to-face consumption. In retail commerce, the 'livecommerce' market, where sales are made by communicating withcustomers in the form of live streaming broadcasts, has grownrapidly. Live commerce has evolved into the realm of content, notjust sales. In addition, Korean and overseas companies are activelyutilizing live commerce channels run by Chinese influencers oropening their own broadcast channels to expand sales in China.E-commerce and retail companies are actively using influencers tomarket live commerce, but unlike China, where live commerce isbecoming more popular, Korea lacks the right influencers to selland market to overseas customers. In addition, although previous studies have consistentlyconfirmed the phenomenon of "influencers" in society and culture, there is a lack of research on the "sales expertise" of livecommerce broadcasters such as “Wang Hong” in China. In China, “WangHong” is short for “Wang Luo Hong Ren”, a combination of “WangLuo”, which means the Internet, and “Hong Ren”, which means star, and refers to a person who is popular through social platforms andis gaining popularity from many fans. Therefore, this study focuseson Wang Hong's developing "selling expertise" and examines it fromthe perspective of a shopping curator. In particular, we appliedJarche(2011)'s "Seek-Sense-Share" model to influencers to verifytheir influence on trust and purchase intention in live commerce.Furthermore, we analyzed the differences between Korea and China.A survey was conducted among live commerce users in Korea andChina, and a total of 228 questionnaires were used in the finalanalysis. Basic statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS andhypotheses were tested using PLS 3.0. The results of the hypothesistesting showed that influencers' curatorial competence"Seek-Sense-Share" had a significant effect on trust, and trust hada positive effect on purchase intention. In addition, there is asignificant difference between Korean and Chinese consumers in thisrelationship. Therefore, companies operating live commerce in Korea and Chinashould focus on influencer "Seek-Sense-Share" capabilities whenproviding personalized live content to increase purchase intentionthrough live commerce. In addition, the "Seek-Sense-Share"capability increases trust in influencers, which can have apositive effect on consumers' purchase intentions through livecommerce.
