The purposes of this study are to present ‘Deep-Woodland-Like Growth’, the new growth method needed today, and an effective educational method for the growth, namely 'aesthetic education' through argumentation and empirical analysis. The study considered the necessity of Deep-Woodland-Like Growth by examining and exploring the current environmental and social issues and seeking points of solutions to these issues. Furthermore, the study presented a real social model, providing more concrete examples of growth patterns. Through research on Schiller's theory of aesthetic education, the principles of the growth were substantiated. And the study proposed the aesthetic education as an effective educational method for the growth. The specific argument and empirical analysis for this were conducted through the effectiveness of education through 'environmental documentary films' and the analysis and consideration of works.Deep-Woodland-Like Growth is a conceptual framework that embodies the vitality and dynamism inherent in Mother Nature as well as sustainability through balance and cyclical processes. Therefore, for humans and society to experience the growth, it is crucial to fundamentally facilitate individuals in recognizing their innate nature. Individuals who perceive 'human-nature (; nature that is human)' on a daily basis can sustainably coexist in the natural and social environment based on the principles of nature. In today's Germany, presented as a social model of Deep-Woodland-Like Growth in this study, a balanced development of education through art, nature-friendliness, human-friendliness, technology and economy was observed. In the development of modern capitalism, industrialization, the French Revolution, and the failure of Enlightenment, Schiller emphasized the necessity of cultivating human integrity and suggested 'aesthetic education through art' as a learning method. Aesthetic education is based on the principles of restoring and manifesting the inherent human nature. Therefore, it shares similarities with the principles of Deep-Woodland-Like Growth. Accordingly, aesthetic education can be an effective educational method for Deep-Woodland-Like Growth. In this study, the effectiveness of aesthetic education for Deep-Woodland-Like Growth, argued through environmental documentary films, was sequentially justified through layers such as movies, documentary films, and environmental documentary films. In today's new media environment, movies have become a popular art form. Movies engage with the consciousness and subconsciousness of modern individuals and are being used as a means of education. Documentary films elucidate realities and meanings that transcend human perception of temporal time and space through the lens of cameras. As a result, individuals and societies can mature. Environmental documentary films that specifically address themes related to 'nature' assist in understanding the 'human-nature' of modern individuals who live alienated from Mother Nature, harmonious thinking with nature and instilling a sense of active participation for it. The empirical observation of specific elements was conducted through the analysis and consideration of three environmental documentary films. This study is significant in proposing that the fundamental solution to the two major crises brought about by the development of technology and civilization lies in human nature and nature itself. It also provides more concrete solutions to these issues.
