Purposes: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the PhotoTherapy focused online intergrated arts therapy program on interpersonal anxiety, depression and quality of life of anxious Chinese university students in the COVID pandemic era. Methods: The subjects of this study were recruited from all male and female students attending B university in J city, L province, China, who wish to participate. After providing information about the program, the participants who understood the research objectives and agreed to participate were selected based on the criteria of scoring 34 or higher on the Interpersonal Anxiety Scale. The 34 students were chosen as the subjects in descending order of their scores, and 17 of them assigned to the experimental group and 17 to the control group randomly. During the course of the study, six students were excluded due to personal circumstances, resulting in a total of 28 participants, with 14 in the experimental group and 14 in the control group, who served as the final study subjects. The 14 participants in the experimental group, who were Chinese university students, received a phototherapy-centered online integrated art therapy program. The program consisted of two sessions per week, with each session lasting 90 minutes. In total, there were 12 sessions provided to the experimental group. On the other hand, the control group received no treatment and remained untreated. To validate the effectiveness of the the PhotoTherapy focused online intergrated arts therapy program, the Social Interaction Anxiety Scale: SIAS; Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale: CES-D; World Health Organization Quality of Life Assessment Instrument-BREF: WHOQOL-BREF were administered before and after the program. Chi-square tests and independent sample t-tests were used to assess the demographic characteristics of the research participants. Independent samples t-tests were conducted to examine the homogeneity of the groups at baseline, and repeated-measures analysis of variance (ANOVA) was performed to determine the effects of the treatment by assessing differences between groups, differences over time, and interaction effects between groups and measurement periods. All statistical analyses were conducted using SPSS version 21.0.Results: The results of this study are as follows.First, there were no statistically significant differences in demographic characteristics and clinical variables between the experimental group and the control group.Second, Compared to the control group the PhotoTherapy focused online intergrated arts therapy program had a significant effect on reducing interpersonal anxiety, with the experimental group showing a significant decrease(p
(World Health Organization Quality of Life Assessment Instrument-BREF: WHOQOL-BREF)을 실시하였다.
