The purpose of this paper is to conduct a comparative analysis between the representative work of Loyalists Love-songs for the King, Li Sao and the exemplar work of loyalists Love-songs for the King poetry that inherits the loyalists Love-songs tradition, Manbunga, in order to examine the representation of loyalty towards the ruler as a vassal. This study aims to elucidate the causes and background of the poetic speaker's tone in Loyalists Love-songs for the King and to identify its relevant aspects in relation to collective unconsciousness. After examining the constant motifs in Book of Changes and the comparative prosodic methods in The Book of Songs this paper investigates the expressions of loving the king revealed in The Yue Folk’s Song, as well as other works by Qu Yuan and Song Yu. Based on this analysis, it becomes evident that China's the expressions of loving the king tradition formed a consistent pattern across Book of Changes, The Book of Songs and The Yue Folk’s Song's works. In the context of Korean literature, this paepr examines the form and content of the rural songs in Won-ga and the court songs in Chungkwajung. We also analyzes the poems of exile written by poets from different periods and the poetic works of Cho Wei who lived during the same era. By analyzing the literature of both countries, it is crucial to identify the origin of Loyalists Love-songs for the King as a foundational aspect for the analysis of Li Sao and Manbunga. Next, an analysis of the content structure and tone of Li Sao and Manbunga was conducted. In terms of composition, Li Sao can be divided into three parts: “Retrospection - Pursuit – Serenity”, while Manbunga, having a similar structure to Li Sao, can be divided into “Longing - Pursuit – Serenity”. Regarding the poetic tone, this paper analyzes the dual tone of the speakers based on the content of the two works. The dual tone of the poetic speakers is manifested in their inherent tone as male scholars and their stylized feminine tone in terms of content. Through the masculine tone, the authors express their desire for “立言” (speaking out) and their determination as “人臣” (loyal subjects) to realize the ideals of “治國平天下“ (governing the country and bringing peace to the world), as well as their lamentation over the dissonance between ideals and reality. This can be observed as the reflection of the author's persona, which is assimilated into collective consciousness. Through the feminine tone, the authors express their sorrow and the unbridgeable emotional distance resulting from the inability to achieve harmony with “임” (the ruler). Examining the poetic motifs in the two works, “multicolored silk”, “jade”, “pearls”, and “bamboo” create delicate and refined images of femininity, associated with qualities such as “splendor”, “beauty”, “purity”, and “depth”. This also reveals the authors' anima persona. Simultaneously, the authors establishing a refined female figure through natural objects in their works can be seen as their externalized expression and a product of collective consciousness coming into play. Finally, by analyzing the relationship between the poetic speaker's tone and collective unconsciousness, this paper revealed the underlying reasons for the author's ambivalent tone of expression. Furthermore, an examination of Song Gang’s Samiingok and Sokmiingok, Jo Woo-in’s Jadosa, and Kim Chun-taek’s Byulsamiingok shed light on the transmission pattern of collective unconsciousness in Loyalists Love- songs for the King. Through this analysis, it becomes evident that the inherent cause for the metaphorical depiction of monarch and ministers relationships through gendered representation in post-Li Sao and Manb- unga Loyalists Love-songs for the King literature is due to the influence of archetypes. Through the discussion of the poetic speaker's tone and collective unconsciou- sness, this paper can provide evidence for the existence of the unconscious in Loyalists Love-songs for the King. There are areas where further discussion is needed, these issues will be further refined in future research.
