With the awakening of contemporary women's self-consciousness, women's social status, life value, political rights, emotional life have become more and more the topic of social research and discussion. The change of female identity is reflected in all aspects of social life, especially in the field of film culture communication. Film, as a comprehensive art form, not only shapes characters' personalities, but also transmits the concepts and consciousness of the times with individual words full of artistic appeal. In recent years, no matter in the international film industry or in the Korean and Chinese film industry, there has been an artistic phenomenon worth paying attention to, that is, the female films with distinctive and unique female consciousness with the depiction of female survival as the theme of expression are flourishing. The female ideology reflected by some female images in female films not only has gender meaning, but also has very rich social and cultural connotation. Therefore, this study attempts to discover the issues of female consciousness expressed in Korean and Chinese female films through the analysis of narrative strategy. This study selects Korean and Chinese female films from 2019-2020 as the research subject and analyzes them from two aspects: narrative voice and focalization, based on Feminist Narratology Theory by Susan S. Lanser. In the analysis of Korean and Chinese female films, the films meeting the definition of female films are first selected according to the demands of this study, and then divided into authorial voice, personal voice and collective narrative voice according to the characteristics of narrative voices. According to the characteristics of narrative perspective, zero-focalization+multiple focalization,、zero-focalization+variable focalization,、zero-focalization+fixed focalization,、external focalization+fixed focalization, and external focalization+variable focalization, there are five types. Then, these three modes and five types are brought into the selected samples of Korean and Chinese female films, so as to summarize the narrative construction and female consciousness of Korean and Chinese female films. The research results show that in terms of narrative voice, both Korea and China prefer to use the author narrative voice, followed by the collective narrative voice, and finally the individual narrative voice. Compared with the diversity of Chinese female voices, Korean female voices are more biased. Although there are obvious differences between Korean and Chinese female voices, they are conveying women's words through women's voices and expressing women's consciousness. In addition, in terms of narrative perspective, Korea obviously uses more types than China, and the perspective of Korean women is more inclined to be expressed through multiple narrators with a more comprehensive and free perspective, while the perspective of Chinese women is more inclined to be expressed through a fixed character with a more objective perspective. Finally, it is found that no matter the narrative voice or narrative perspective, both Korean and Chinese female films will eventually involve the level of female consciousness. Combined with the analysis of narrative voice and perspective, it is finally concluded that both Korean and Chinese female films try to depict female life experiences through female narrative subjects and express their inner emotions so as to express their opinions and thoughts on things. This prompts individual women to realize the relationship between themselves and others and their own value. This study can enable the audience to re-understand and think about women, face women's emotions and life pursuit, and interpret the film from the perspective of female consciousness, which also promotes the diversification of film development and contributes to the systematization of theoretical discussion on female film narration.
