Recently, the innovation of ICT and the development of logistics technology continue in international import and export transactions, and the traditional aspects of import and export transactions are rapidly changing to global e-commerce. At this time, global e-commerce reduces the cost and time of import and export transactions by concluding and executing existing import and export transaction procedures through virtual space to reduce the time and space constraints that had to be accompanied by transactions. In line with the paradigm shift in import and export transactions, the Chinese government is implementing various policies to support the development of global e-commerce, including tariffs, customs clearance, settlement, and logistics. On the other hand, since more than 80% of import and export transactions are carried out through B2B transactions, related B2B-centered platforms or platforms are attracting attention in the background of increasing global e-commerce. In the process of entering the global e-commerce market, Chinese exporters are expanding trade centered on global e-commerce platforms such as Alibaba, Hui-Cong Guo-Ji, and Made in China. In particular, small and medium-sized export manufacturing companies related to cosmetics in China are using the B2B global e-commerce platform effectively in business contracts, payment, logistics tracking, etc., and are actively identifying demand for products and supplying them. Against this background, Alibaba (2022) suggested that the scale of the cosmetics industry in China is showing a high growth rate of about 6% compared to other industries despite the economic recession. However, due to low entry barriers and network effects, competition within the B2B global e-commerce platform is very fierce, and some small and medium-sized exporters are not performing well in the international market due to lack of funds, technology and human resources. Accordingly, in the global business environment, it is time to review the use of global e-commerce platforms to improve export performance, focusing on B2B transactions of small and medium-sized export cosmetics manufacturers. In this regard, when using the B2B global e-commerce platform of small and medium-sized export manufacturers related to cosmetics, technical factors such as logistics, information system, and payment system, organizational factors such as the level of ICT utilization and human resources within the organization, and B2B global e-commerce platform The necessity of reviewing environmental aspects such as government support and customs clearance is raised.Based on this background, this study set the research subject to export small and medium-sized cosmetics manufacturing companies in Guangdong Province, China. Guangdong Province is a major core region related to cosmetics manufacturing, and the supply of raw materials and equipment is relatively concentrated, so the production cost of cosmetics products is generally reduced. It is characterized by favorable conditions for the survival of the industry in the global market. Therefore, small and medium-sized export manufacturing companies related to cosmetics in Guangdong Province can be expected to enter the global market by utilizing B2B global e-commerce. Accordingly, this study aimed to find out the effect of using a global e-commerce platform of small and medium-sized export cosmetics manufacturing companies in Guangdong Province, China on the export performance within the company. The main research and survey subjects of this study were Chinese domestic small and medium-sized export companies active in the Guangdong Provincial Cosmetics Industry Association, Guangdong Provincial E-Commerce Association, Alibaba members, China Customs Registration, Guangzhou E-Commerce Association, and Shenzhen E-Commerce Association for about 50 days. During the study, 268 copies of the questionnaire were obtained by distributing and collecting the questionnaire. For the survey data, SPSS 27.0 was used to conduct basic statistical surveys and data verification to ensure objectivity of the survey data, and to derive measurement factors and variables through exploratory factor analysis. Subsequently, confirmatory factor analysis, structural model test, and structural equation modeling test were performed using AMOS 26.0 to secure discriminant validity for measurement factors and latent variables, and construct validity was presented. Afterwards, between hypothesis tests, AMOS 26.0 was used to review the correlation between latent variables based on the hypothesis, and the results of the study were presented.First, based on expert interviews with small and medium-sized export cosmetics manufacturers in Guangdong Province, China, innovation diffusion theory and preceding studies were reviewed to consider factors to be considered when using B2B global e-commerce platforms, such as logistics information system factors, payment system factors, professional manpower factors, and ICT. Six factors were derived as utilization factors, customs clearance system factors, and government support factors.Second, among the factors to consider when using the B2B global e-commerce platform for small and medium export cosmetics manufacturing companies in Guangdong Province, China, pay attention to the use of the platform, including technical logistics information system and payment system, systematic professional manpower and ICT utilization, environmental customs clearance system and government support factors. has been shown to have an effect.Third, it was found that the use of B2B global e-commerce platform by small and medium-sized export manufacturing companies has a significant effect on export performance. In this study, the factors to be considered when using the B2B global e-commerce platform of small and medium-sized export cosmetics manufacturers in Guangdong Province are examined from the perspective of innovation diffusion theory, and ways to expand the use of the platform and increase export performance of the companies are reviewed. Points are presented.
