This study is to analyze the characteristics and combination of the gakpil(角筆) marks in Volume 7 of the Beophwagyeong, the collection of Girimsa Temple. The Beophwagyeong, which is owned by Girimsa Temple, is a foldable sutra of the Goryeo Dynasty. Currently, Volume 1 and Volume 7 exist, and this study focuses on Volume 7 among them. As a result, the following conclusions were drawn.First, the five types of gakpil(角筆) marks were used dot (·, :, ‥), line (, , ∖, ∕), slant (`, ′, 〃, ‶, ˎˏ , ˏˎ), check (∨, ∧), half-width (┌, ┐, ┘, ┴, ┳, ).Second, each gakpil(角筆) mark appears by combining the top, bottom, left, and right of Chinese characters. To this end, the Chinese characters were divided into 9 equal parts and numbered according to the position where each gakpil(角筆) mark appeared, and the mark diagram was established.Third, the combination pattern of the gakpil(角筆) marks was analyzed. Most of the single marks appearing in this data have a one-to-one correspondence in their meaning and function. Fourth, the frequency of gakpil(角筆) marks according to the position of the marks is as follows. In ‘mark position 1’, the slanted sign was used the most, ‘mark position 2’ and ‘mark position 3’ are dot marks, ‘mark position 4’ is a slant, ‘mark position 5’ is a line mark, ‘mark position 6’ is a dot marks, ‘mark position 7’ is a line mark, ‘mark position 8’ is a dot marks, and line mark are used a lot in ‘mark position 9’. Fifth,, the proportions of gakpil(角筆) marks written in this data were about 44% for dots, 25% for line marks, 19% for slanted marks, 7% for check marks, and 5% for half-width marks.Finally, the pattern of gakpil(角筆) marks in Volume 7 of the Beophwagyeong, the collection of Girimsa Temple was analyzed by dividing it into three functions: sentence connection, sentence ending, and postpositional particle. Through this, it was possible to know 37 types of combination in the original text.
