The purpose of this study is to confirm the differences of participation motivation, self-efficacy, sports immersion and quality of life brought by the demographic characteristics of Chinese mass winter sports participants, and to find out the structural relationship between the factors through empirical analysis. In this study, the residents who have participated in mass winter sports for more than six months in the past two years in Liaoning, Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces of Northeast China were selected as the subjects, and a questionnaire survey was conducted online from March 15 to March 30, 2021. A total of 500 questionnaires were collected. In addition to 54 dishonest answers, 446 data were used for final analysis. Data processing: SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0 were used for frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, trust analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, difference analysis (t-test and One-way ANOVA), correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis and path analysis. The results are as follows. First, it was shown that the participation motivation, self-efficacy, sports immersion, and quality of life differed partially depending on the demographic characteristics. Second, participants motivation of the mass winter sports had a significant positive(+) influence on self-efficacy. Third, participants motivation of the mass winter sports had a significant positive(+) influence on sports immersion. Fourth, participants motivation of the mass winter sports had a significant positive(+) influence on quality of life. Fifth, the self-efficacy of the mass winter sports participants had a significant positive(+) influence on sports immersion. Sixth, the self-efficacy of the mass winter sports participants had a significant positive(+) influence on quality of life. Seventh, sports immersion of the mass winter sports participants did not have a significant impact on the quality of life.
