The purpose of this study is to analyse the tangling force and derive the optimal conditions for each condition when storing ice in the ice bucket of the refrigerator. In a refrigerator, ice tangling is a phenomenon in which ice crystals are produced by lowering the temperature around the ice while the quasi-Liquid layer is combined. In order to check the tangles of ice in each condition that could occur in the refrigerator, precise temperature control was performed in the low temperature chamber, and the maximum shear force was determined when the two ice sheets were separated using push-full gage.Experimentation has shown that ice chaffing is significantly reduced at temperatures below -10°C as described in Ref. A Study of Ice Sintering. If the temperature difference of the supply cooling temperature is -10°C and ±5°C or the temperature of the ice storage area is kept below -5°C, ice will not become tangled, but it will be difficult to apply it to the actual product due to an increase in the material cost of adding an ice storage insulation. It was also possible to verify that the cooler flow supplied to the ice storage room is more effective in preventing reduction of the volume of ice, but since adverse reactions such as reduction of ice, it is difficult to apply the method to minimize cold air flow to the actual product. Thus, to improve the problem of ice chaffing under the conditions of use of the refrigerator, additional efforts are needed to minimize the temperature of the cold air supplied to the ice storage room and to minimize thetemperature difference according to Fan On/Off.
