The purpose of this study was investigated to see the effect self-expression group game play therapy on the improvement of aggressive children’s peer relationship. The research with the study is First, what is the effect self-expression group game play therapy on peer relationships among groups of aggressive children. Second, what is the effect self-expression group game play therapy on peer relationships among children of aggressive children. Third, what is the effect self-expression group game play therapy on peer-relationship behavior of aggressive children. The subjects of this study are male children who use the A, B, and C local children's centers located in U city, who have difficulties in peer relations due to aggressive behavior. The method of selection was selected by conducting Self-report method Aggression checklist and Teacher's Child Behavior Scale (Korea - Teacher’s Report Form: K-TRF). The selected eight children were random assignment to the experimental and control groups, four each. The self-expression group game play therapy program was designed to improve positive peer relationships through self-expression behavior, and was designed to aggressive children based on the components of self-expression and the therapeutic factors of the game play. The program was conducted twice a week for a total of 10 sessions for five weeks. Pre-, post- and later peer relationship tests were conducted on children and teachers in experimental and control groups to identify changes in peer relationships. To see changes in peer-relationship behavior of experimental group children, the behavioral changes in free play situations within the session were measured and described changes in peer-relationship behavior during the session. The results of this study are as follow First, the average score of peer relations of aggressive children in the experimental group distinction significantly from that of the control group. Second, the total score of peer relationship and the subordinate scope score of aggressive children in the experimental group were improved. Third, the frequency of positive peer-relationship behavior steadily increased as the session progressed in the changes in peer-relationship behavior of experimental group aggressive children, and the frequency of negative peer-relationship behavior steadily decreased too. Finally, this study showed that self-expression group game therapy programs were effective in improving peer relationships of aggressive children, and discussed limitations and suggestions on future research.
