Since joining the WTO in 2011, China's agricultural exports have grown in size overall, while the rate of increase in exports has been steadily increasing, and the competitiveness of agricultural exports has been strengthened. China is now the fifth largest agricultural exporter after the United States, the Netherlands, Brazil and Germany. However, China entered net imports in 2004 and changed from net export to net imports, making China the world's largest importer of a gricultural products. And China's agricultural trade is highly dependent on foreign countries, and China's agricultural export trade country is mainly concentrated in Asian countries. Excessive concentration can pose a great potential risk to agricultural export trade. In this study, I analyzed the determinants of Chinese agricultural exports in order to grasp China's agricultural export market situation. In addition, we compared the existing studies in Korea and China to determine whether the factors affecting agricultural trade between Korea and China are different. In this study, panel export data of Chinese agricultural products were analyzed by panel analysis using cross-sectional data from top 15 countries and 12-year time series data. The results of the analysis show that the export of China's agricultural products, the national income (PGDP), which represents the economy of the other country, and the FTA conclusion, which is a policy factor, affect the export of Chinese agricultural products. The real effective exchange rate(REER) of trading partners, a price factor for agricultural exports, was also having a significant impact. In addition, comparing the determinants of exports of Chinese and Korean agricultural products showed no significant difference. Through this study, we can identify the determinants of exports in terms of economics, price, and policy aspects of the Chinese agricultural market. In addition, it can be the basis for analyzing and facilitating the trade of agricultural products between Korea and China through the comparison of existing studies in Korea and China.
