Tourism has increasingly become a highly competitive industry under the background of global economic development. With the continuous improvement of Chinese people’s living standards, traveling abroad has become an important way for people to enjoy leisure and entertainment. The Chinese’s huge purchasing power has gradually Become the target of constant struggle for the world. This research report is mainly based on the analysis of the current status and characteristics of the Chinese people's visit to South Korea in the data on foreign tourist visits to South Korea from 2015 to 2016, as well as the policy of the Korean government on the Korean tourism industry in recent years. Through these analysis, we have come up with plans for improving the development of tourism in Korea and seizing the opportunity to attract Chinese tourists during the special period. First of all, the government must give more policy support to the development of tourism in Korea, which is mainly reflected in the processing of visas, intensified publicity, and increased cultural exchanges. Secondly, according to the analysis of live data, the largest proportion of activities during the Chinese visit to South Korea is shopping, and the shopping area with the highest traffic volume is the duty-free store. The products with the highest sales volume are cosmetics and perfumes. Therefore, it is necessary to expand the scale of duty-free shops, enhance the service of duty-free stores, and develop more Korean cosmetics that meet Chinese tastes. Finally, the status of medical tourism in the tourism industry is also increasing. In recent years, for the Chinese patients with the most visits to South Korea, news that has not been properly dealt with after medical accidents has also increased. Improve the legal system, train more medical translation experts and professional nursing staff, strengthen the management of the medical tourism market, and create a better medical environment for Chinese patients.
본 연구는 한국 관광산업의 발전과 중국인 관광객을 유치하기 위해서 외국인 관광 실태에 관한 조사 데이터 및 관련된 논문, 보고서 및 뉴스를 정리하고 정부 정책, 쇼핑 활성화 및 의료관광 활성화에 대한 발전방안을 분석하였다. 중국인의 해외 여행객수 및 구매력에 대한 영향력이 커지고 있기 때문에 한국 관광산업의 발전에 중국인 관광객의 유치가 무엇보다 중요한 조건이다. 본 연구는 2015년, 2016년의 외국인 실태조사 결과에 의하면 중국인 관광객의 주요 활동은 쇼핑이고 제일 선호하는 쇼핑 장소가 면세점으로 나타났다. 정부 정책의 지원도 관광산업에 대한 위기를 극복하는 중요한 요인이다. 최근에는 의료관광이 빠질 수 없는 주요 시장이 되었으며 방한 환자들 중에 중국인이 제일 높은 비중을 차지하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 의료관광의 현황과 중국인 환자의 증가로 인해 발생되는 다양한 문제점을 파악하고 그 해결 방안을 제시하고자 한다.
