Nowadays, the tight relationship between doctors and patients arises in the media environment. The life safety of some doctors is threatened by radical patients, while a few doctors have difficulty compassionating the pain of patients, hardly providing the psychological counseling to them. Under this circumstance, the doctor injury event occurs frequently this term. The government, media and all sectors of society pay high attention to such event, and academia also conducts extensive discussions and researches on the topics of the bias in the news of patient-hospital disputes, audience effects, the construction of doctor’s media image, etc. Based on the research summary of the predecessor, the author uses the search engine of “Sina News”, selecting 714 news titled “doctor-patient relationship”, reported from June to December 2015, as the main research object. In the study, she analyzes eight essential factors of report writing, including information source, geographical distribution, main media, genre, form, title keyword, agenda set, and attitude tendency, and finally comes up with the changes in the report of doctor-patient relationship from June to December, 2015, as well as the role some media act in guiding public opinions, which takes effects on adjusting social contradictions and harmonizing the relationship between doctors and patients. This study suggests that the immediate attention of media will be a great beginning for public opinion guidance; the organic integration of information by several media will be its condition; the accurate and clear expression of media will be its key point; and the humanistic care and harmony spread by media will be its goal. However, questions also exist in the reports, in other word, the improper phenomena such as inappropriate agenda settings; the vacillating standpoint of unexpected events; wrong information spread; one-sided reports of the doctor’s image; excessive catering on the audience psychology; lack of humanistic care for neither doctors nor patients; the deficiency of medical and health knowledge and concept; and lack of guidance in the negative report. New reports have a passive effect on the construction of the doctor’s image from the perspectives of the value orientation, subject position, speech usage, which affects the doctor-patient relationship in reality. In conclusion, media should reduce the deviation of the content in news reporting, ensuring the objectivity, authenticity of the news and enhancing the accuracy of the report. Apart from that, they are supposed to supplement for the Truth of News, and then boost the current health care reform. Besides, safeguard the interests of both doctors and patients, as well as coordinating the doctor-patient relationship.
