Capital market is an important element for a country's economic development. In this paper, China's industrial production index, inflation, the nominal interest rate, the nominal exchange rate and the Shanghai stock index are analyzed based on the data from January 1997 to December 2014. And the relationship among the index of China's industrial production, inflation, the nominal interest rate, the nominal exchange rate and the Shanghai stock index is analyzed by using the unit root test and vector autoregressive model. According to the results of the impulse-response function and variance decomposition, industrial production and inflation are positive correlated to stock prices. And industrial production and the nominal interest rate affect the stock price. The nominal exchange rate does not have sense for shares in statistics. But the share price has unidirectional effects on the nominal exchange rate, and the nominal exchange rate will decline when shares rise.
