Foreign financial institutions entered to china from 1990, and after china join the World Trade Organization(WTO) 2001, there are many change in china market especially the financial market. China economic become more market-oriented and open. It was a big opportunity for foreign financial institutions to expansion market share in china. But for many reasons, until now, their performance is not well. there are many reasons why this condition happen and the one of important reason is that their entry strategy is not enough to get more market share in china, especially the korean financial institution. Since korean financial market have been saturated, and chinese financial market is very attractive for korean financial institution, they are very active on the way of entry china financial market, but it seems they are very conservative on the other hand since the risk also very high. Follow through this study, korean financial institution can understand present chinese market condition more accordingly and the performance of foreign financial institution in china, also korean financial institution. After understand the present condition, this paper have suggested many entry strategies to korean financial institution for reference. The strategies for Korean financial institution to enter the chinese financial market and to conduct business activities effectively are summarized as follows. First, they should have confidence to chinese financial market, and perform more aggressively, because of china try to solve present problem, and after than, china market will rapid growth again. two, the localization of the korean institution is so important not only in the manpower, but in it’s cultural relationship. three, korean institution must focus on specific business or service so that they can compete with global major financial institutions. four, they must use korean culture in china, like korean company, korean resident and so on. If korean financial institution can act more stable in china market, they are also competitive in the china market.
