This paper mainly deals with the objectives and motives of Korea-China's FTA(Free Trade Agreement)and analyzes Korea-China's FTA strategies both quantitatively and qualitatively in order to draw up more viable suggestions for future Korea-China FTA negotiations. Chapter 2 briefly describes several important the two countries economy and the prospects for the economy. In Chapter 3, we explain the purposes of Korea-China's FTA promotion and analyze the decisive factors for the two countries to select it's FTA partner countries. In Chapter 4, we according to Korea-China's FTA, have studied the two countries's economic growth and the corresponding solutions. Based on the above observation and analysis ,we lastly have gotten our own result in Chapter 5. A Korea-China FTA is expected to have a dramatic economic impact on both countries as a result of the removal of trade barriers and trade promoting effects. Korea will witness a surge in it's import of China's final goods and an increase in it's domestic consumer's welfare. Moreover, Korean exporters access to China's huge market of 1.3 billion population will be made easier by the simplified clearance process, tariff removal, eased trade remedies etc. On the other hand, in order to maximize the expected benefit from the FTA, Korea must make full efforts to conclude a comprehensive Korea-China FTA, such that it includes intellectual property rights, investment related issues, and service sector liberalization, etc. in the FTA negotiations. There is no doubt that more and more Korea firms are investing in China as FTA is likely to increase FTA flows between the two economies, as trade liberalization through the reduction of trade costs and improvement in investment environment makes within the FTA area more attractive. Therefore, in order to promote bilateral economic relations between Korea and China the two countries need to improve a framework of regulations that comply with international investment protection standards.
