The essay focuses on the comparison on the spiritual essence of the two poets, Sim Ryun-soo and Yin Dong-ju, who guarded nation and themselves with intense opposite consciousness in the final term of Japanese aggression. The main writing period of the two poets is the middle 1930' and the former 1940'. At that time, under the Japanese cruel repression, many intellectuals turned to be the follower of Japan or pursuit the "pure literature" based on linguistic aesthetics. But it is moving and meaningful that the two poets searched the road for nation's liberation with their poem. They share many common points: lived in the same age, had similar beginning background, both died not long before liberation, both had lived in the same island as immigrant and studied in Japan and both were known after liberation. But they have different writing style: Sim's poem is masculine with Confucianism tendency and Yin is feminine with Christianism tendency. So it is possible and necessary to compare. It is earlier and Sim's poems with the effort of his brother and some researchers. Because the research on Sim's poems is still limited, it is a meaningful promotion to Sim's research giving comparison with Yin and can provide a new vision on Yin's research, too.For Sim' poems, we adopt the relative poems in "An collected edition for 20 century's Chinese Korean literature history" while referent "An collected edition for Yin Dong-ju's poems" for Yin.This essay consists of two main parts. At the opening part of the essay, we raise some question, analyze the former research accomplishment, and summarise the objective, meaning and process. The body part can be divided the objective, meaning and process. The body part can be divided into two sections. Section one: comparison between their writing career on the basis of time background which is the research objective of the essay as well as groundwork to part two. Section two: analysis and comparison on their spiritual essence. Firstly, analyze Sim's tramping consciousness, masculine with Confucianism spirit. Then, Yin's deterministic tramping consciousness manifesting as self-examination fighting spirit and Christianism spirit. Finally, compare their poem spirit and the reasons from the angles of background, world view, literature view and character difference as well as the art feature. In the closing part, summarize the analysis and definitude their spirit essence to guard their nation in the dark period of Japanese oppression.
