Purpose – This article aims to analyze the spatial distribution of rural tourism, offering a theoretical basis for optimizing its spatial structure, regulating facilities, and promoting development. Design, data, and methodology – The research data was collected from the POI database of 39 key rural tourism villages and tourism service facilities in Jilin Province of China. These datum is analyzed by using the methods of NNI, KDE, SDE, and BSA. Result – The spatial distribution of key villages in Jilin Province shows a trend of clustering. However, the spatial correlation between the key villages and the tourism service facilities is low, which shows spatial heterogeneity. Conclusions – To enhance the overall development of rural tourism, a well-planned balanced spatial correlation between the tourist villages and the service facilities must be done in the future tourism development.
