With the rapid growth of smartphones and the advent of the 5G era, mobile travel apps have become an essential business platform for travel providers to meet user demands, driving significant development in the global mobile travel market. While the current design of mobile travel apps has reached a commendable level, users still encounter issues related to low levels of interactive experience. The aim of this study is to identify the key factors that affect the user experience of travel apps and analyze their importance. First, a comprehensive evaluation framework consisting of 32 key evaluation elements for travel app user experience is developed based on previous studies and literature reviews. Second, through the investigation of the relevant theories of user experience design, based on the "user experience Honeycomb model" as the standard of evaluation factor dimension division. To ensure accuracy, a panel of 15 experts was assembled and two rounds of rigorous screening of the 32 evaluated elements were performed using a Delphi technique. This paper calculates the weight and priority of each factor by the analytic hierarchy process (AHP). Finally, a comprehensive evaluation criterion for user experience design of travel applications is presented. The findings of this study are important for the design and improvement of future tourism applications.
