This study analyzed the success factors of K-Pop in the Vietnamese music market. Based on previous studies, the factors that can affect a K-Pop song's performance were analyzed as singer's gender, singer type, star power, music genre, music video possession, production company's capacity, official SNS, and initial performance. For analysis, this study sampled 190 K-Pop songs that entered the top 20 of the Vietnamese Zing MP3 K-Pop weekly chart for two years from January 4, 2021 to January 1, 2023. As a result of the analysis, it was found that star power, ballad genre, and production company's capacity had a significant positive (+) effect on the performance of a song. On the other hand, it was found that the singer's gender, singer type, music video possession, official SNS presence, and initial box office performance had no significant effect on a song’s performance. This study is the first empirical study to quantitatively analyze the success factors of K-Pop in the Vietnamese music market, and the results of this study are expected to help establish a strategy for K-Pop to enter Vietnam.
