Shenyang in China, which had a very important political and cultural symbolism as the birthplace of the Qing Dynasty, became the fastest urbanization, industrialization, and modernization among the cities in northeastern China around the 20th century. The development of transportation makes it easy for people to access the city which has a wide plain, and since 1910, numerous Koreans have attempted to relocate and settle here. At first, most of the migrants were not only farmers but also many Confucian intellectuals. Therefore, the symbolism of this place became more diverse, which became the base of the Korean independence movement and the center of the cultural movement. The works express their lives and inner feelings at the time, which is a meaningful text not only in Korean literary history but also in modern history and immigration history.
